WOW, life, and other things

So with the new expansion of WOW out, MOP (mists of pandaria, for those that don't know), I decided to give it a try. However, all I've really gottne to do so far in MOP is level a monk to level 5. (more on that in the second section, life!).  It seems really interesting and like it could be a lot of fun with the new talents and new class/race/zone, but I haven't gotten the time to actually sit down and play it. I am however looking forward to trying it out. I also recently convinced my fiance to try WOW out. I am hoping she enjoys it as much as I have, and hopefully it can blossom into something fun we do together, because, all in all, it is a relatively cheap way to enterain yourself.

The reason for not getting to play it really comes down to the same thing as always, life. Life has been busy for me lately. Lots of things to do around the house, and had some guests over last week. Also work. Ugh work. We all "hate" our jobs, they do give us an income to do the things we like, however, our biggest gripe, seems to be the fact we can't enjoy those things as often as we'd like to because of work.

My job requires me to fly to the job site and stay in camp for a week, it does pay well, but I do miss out on many things and time with my fiance. I don't mind it usually, but sometimes, like most people, you just don't want to work. Today is one of those days, hence blog post! (I sure hope that no one puts 2 and 2 together after reading this...). I just have no desire to do anything at my job right now, I would much rather be at home, or out doing something. Something that isn't work, something that is fun. It happens sometimes. Who knows, maybe writing this blog post will get it out of my system and I'll get back to work.

Other things that have been using my time up lately have been Guild wars 2 (not to oftehn but somewhat often) and guitar lessons (ok, so only one lesson so far, looking forward to more!).  Guild wars 2 is incredibly fun, but like most MMO's I play, I burn out relatively quickly and tend to take breaks from them to do other things. Sometimes I play for a really long time, other times I won't play for days. It's just the way I work.

The first guitar lesson I had was last week, it was incredibly fun and I learned a lot. I am hoping that I can continue to learn quickly so I can actually play with friends, instead of awkwardly sitting there and thinking "I wish I could do that". I was debating on bringing a guitar to work so I could practice, but ultimately I did not. I can't justify bringing one with me, I fear of the breakage of said guitar, and also, where would I put it during the day? But I also feel guilty for not practicing this week. I'll just have to practice extra hard before the next lesson.

Well I've spoken my mind, and spouted randomness onto this web page, enjoy! And for the nerds that all say TL:DR, well here you go.

TL:DR - want to try the new wow expansion more, life is busy, other things are fun, and lastly, my fiance is super awesome!

Huffing and Puffing: My review of Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2012

So, me and my fiance (Miss Bee Vintage) have decided to get back into shape. Big goal. We also have quite busy lives and don't get much time to get to the gym, so we thought we might actually instead try to work out at home with our small amounts of spare time. And of course me being a video game nerd and having almost every modern system out there, I looked into fitness games. Fun times.

We eventually settled and bought Your shape fitness evolved 2012 for the kinect. I kind of thought it would be just some average run of the mill fitness game that wouldn't be to hard of a work out and would be more focused on fitness games like most other fitness games I've tried. I couldn't have been more wrong. It has routines, and workouts for most major muscle groups that actually work out those muscles. I was amazed and tired and sore after trying it out after we bought it. It is quite a good workout.

Now any game is not without flaws, espcially motion sensitive games, like the kinect. Some of the time, it tells you you need to be doing something differently, although you're doing it the same way as the instructor shows you. It just doesn't pick up your movements 100% of the time, which can be annoying, especially when you're doing what they say, but you're knee didn't get quite high enough, so you don't get credit. While not picking up your movements does cause slight annoyance, it is bearable and doesn't happen often enough to warrant a terrible rating. It doesn't take away from the work out at all, really.

All in all, my review of your shape evolved 2012, I would say it is a pretty solid game, and I would have to give it 7/10. It has some flaws and it does want make me want to come back and try all of the routines. I would say that some of the more intense routines are for the more experienced people, who are in much better shape than myself.

SUDDENLY BLOG!

So suddenly, I have a blog, a blog in which I hope to post occasionally. Let's not get to far ahead of myself here, I'm new at this, we'll see how this goes first.

I suppose an introduction is in order being my first post and all, I am affectionately known as enjoilife in my many occurrences on the Internet (of course when I cannot get that name, I simply add a 3 or 35).  I am currently one quarter of a century old, or 25 if you want. I am engaged to a lovely woman, whom will be refered to as Miss Bee, henceforth.  I am an avid video gamer, comic (or just books) reader, and a sneakerhead. An odd sort of combination, but I am who I am, and that's that.

I will post all sorts of things here I hope, like my take on video games, comics, and books. And occasionally, sneakers, cause I, as I said, also kind of like those (last count I had 46 pairs of sneakers/shoes...).  And there might be posts about things I encounter, and some conversations with friends, which I might add, sometimes go to some interesting places. (that's me being nice, and not saying weird....).

So, here we go! Out to the unknown and expansive universe of blogging! And remember, always keep your hands inside the ride and have fun!
